On May 12, 2024, the inauguration of Ms. Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, the first female president of the Republic of North Macedonia, took place. The ceremony was followed by sharp reactions from Greece and the international community, after Siljanovska-Davkova pronounced the old constitutional name of the country – Macedonia, without the adjective Northern during the oath.
