In the previous elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina, 48,000 voters from the diaspora registered to vote. Interestingly, only 2,600 of them were able to cast their ballots at embassies and consulates, while the rest had to vote by mail. Nearly 1.8 million people born in BiH now live in 54 countries around the world, while another 400,000 BiH citizens were born abroad. This means that less than 3% of eligible diaspora voters actually voted in the most recent elections held in their home country.
