The brutal murder of 14-year-old Vanja Gjorchevska in North Macedonia reverberated throughout the Balkans. Vanja went to school but never made it. She was abducted in broad daylight in the center of Skopje in front of the building where she lived. Her body was found a week later. According to the police, she was killed two hours after the abduction. In addition to Vanja, the body of 74-year-old, Panche Zezovski was found in another location. Although Vanja and Panche are not directly related, the same four people are suspected of the two murders. What’s more, Vanja’s father has been accused of giving information about his daughter’s movements, her leaving home and the route of her movement. The suspects for the kidnapping and murders, as well as her father, are all in custody.
