Five years ago, the Kosovo Parliament voted for the constitutional changes that made it possible to form a ‘Special Court’ for war crimes. In 2017, Specialist Chambers and the Specialist Prosecutors Office, two Kosovo institutions based in The Hague, Netherlands, began their work. This prosecutor’s and court’s mission is to investigate and judge the supposed crimes “against minorities and political opponents” between 1998 and 2000.
