MINING CANCELED, AUTHORITIES WRITE PENALTIES

Some say the environmental protests in Serbia have ended successfully. The government has, at least for now, suspended the lithium mine project to be opened by „Rio Tinto“. But authorities are punishing citizens who took part in the protests. Interestingly, there are no misdemeanor charges in Belgrade. They arrive to smaller cities only.
