The arms trade in the world has grown to the highest level since the Cold War. The countries of the Western Balkans, led by Serbia and Croatia, invest large amounts of money in armaments. Croatia has obligations as a member of the NATO pact, while Serbia wants to keep up. Both countries are preparing to restore mandatory military service.
