HIGHSCHOOLERS AND COLLEGES vs. THE STATE

In 2024, the Ministry of Education of Serbia plans to introduce a state matriculation exam in place of the current system of college entrance exams. The proposal was met with resistance from a large number of faculties, as well as many high school students. Last year, an informal group of high school students submitted a petition with 25,000 signatures to the Ministry of Education against the introduction of the state matriculation exam.
