At the end of last year, the Sarajevo Canton Government decided to subsidize young married couples for the purchase of their first home. According to the decision, 5.5 million KM was allocated for this purpose, and the amount of support was set at up to 12,000 KM per person. Given that 1,142 young people applied, the Government decided to distribute the allocated money linearly. This caused strong reactions from the young people because in that case the amounts awarded were significantly reduced. The young people objected, but the government did not offer an alternative solution.
