Recently published news states foreign intelligence services had informed the government that the assassination of President Aleksandar Vucic was being prepared. This is the fifth time that the president’s life is in danger in Serbia. Vucic was attacked for the first time in 2015 in Potocari. In 2016, weapons and explosives were found near his family home. In 2017, a car hit the president’s vehicle. Two years later, the media announced the existence of a call for his murder. In January 2021, the authorities claimed that the assassination of Vucic was planned during the unveiling of the monument to Stefan Nemanja.
