Tens of thousands of people have already marched twice through the Serbian capital, Belgrade since the two mass shootings that resulted in the death of 18 people, of which 10 children, stunned the nation. Many chanted slogans decrying Serbia’s populist president, Aleksandar Vucic. Protesters blame him for creating an atmosphere of hopelessness and division in the country that, they say, indirectly led to the mass shootings.
