Someone once said that the war in former Yugoslavia started in football stadiums where chauvinism and hatred towards others were promoted. Citizens are intentionally reduced to one identity, the ethnic one. Incidents on the pitches, such as the most recent one in Belgrade between fans of Red Star and Partizan, are unfortunately not uncommon.
