The General Assembly of the United Nations adopted a Resolution declaring July 11 as the International Day of Remembrance of the Genocide in Srebrenica. Eighty-four countries voted “for”, 19 were against, and 68 countries abstained. North Macedonia is one of the countries that voted in favor, and was also one of the 34 countries sponsoring the Resolution.
