High concentration of harmful particles is a major problem in many cities in the Balkans, and Skopje is often at the very top of the cities with the most polluted air. In the winter months, the situation is worsening, so Gorjan Jovanovski made a mobile application “My Airbus” that measures the concentration of PM10 and other harmful particles in real time. The application is free and its aim is to inform citizens about the level of air pollution, and then educate them on how they can participate themselves in the fight for cleaner air.
