GOLGOTHE OF INVISIBLE CHILDREN

There are hundreds of “non-existent” citizens in North Macedonia. They are so-called “phantom” people who are not registered in the Registrar’s office and therefore, cannot exercise their basic rights. It is unknown how many of them are children. The alarm was raised by the death of Tony Sally, a 19-year-old boy who struggled with the absurd bureaucratic system for a decade. He wanted to be a successful young man, but he died without a date of birth and no health insurance.
