Almost all minority communities in Montenegro are legally recognized and have the right to use their language, as well as a certain degree of cultural and political representation. The Roma community, however, still does not have such status, nor does it have its own representative in parliament, although according to the latest census, it numbers around 6,000 members, while estimates indicate that this number is significantly higher.
