Presidential and parliamentary elections were held in North Macedonia on May 8. The VMRO-DPMNE party is a convincing winner, returning to power after seven years in opposition. For the first time in the history of North Macedonia, a woman was elected as the president of the country. This is also the historical debacle of the party in power until now, SDSM, which fell to third place in terms of mandates won.
